The 2 types of hemorrhoids: Internal and external

A lot of people don’t really know what hemorrhoids are. Most of them have no idea that this condition actually has two types. More importantly, the two types can’t be cured using the same method. Each type has its own unique property but they share some similar symptoms. The only difference between the two is their location and their treatment but overall, they are still caused by the same factors.

Internal hemorrhoids typically occur in the inner veins where they may remain hidden and unexposed. This type can be less painful since there are fewer nerve endings exposed. Blood stains on the tissue paper or on the stool itself is one way to determine its presence. Though they start out as hidden swellings, too much strain and pressure can cause the inner vein to bulge out to the external anus area. A few ways to treat them is through rubber band ligation and other supplements. This type is also much complex due to the different degree of prolapsed mass a person can experience. They can be categorized by up to 4 grades where grade IV can be the most serious among the given grades.

The external type can be more painful due to the fact that it can be found on the external veins. Due to its exposure to different factors, it can give that itchy and burning sensation which can cause discomfort. Normally, it will easily bleed mainly because of its location. Treatments for this type includes different bath mixtures and creams that are directly applied to the affected area. Lastly, this type can sometimes develop into a more serious condition where surgery might be needed. It usually happens when blood starts to clot in the affected vein.

There are cases where both internal and external hemorrhoids can lead to further complications and infections. However, there are still some people who deny and ignore their existence due to embarrassment. Doing this will not solve the problem at all but it will instead prolong the agony even further. Treating them immediately can bring relief in just a few days. The person can now also concentrate on their works and not on the pain and discomfort this condition can bring. Finally, always remember that some treatments can be ineffective when not used properly. However, the ineffectiveness may also be due to the product itself. Fraud and false claims are very common nowadays that’s why people are advised to their own research before buying different treatments.
