By | January 31, 2018

Hemorrhoids in teenagers are characterized by swelling or bulging veins in the lower area of the rectum and the anus. This is due to too much pressure in this area or too much straining. Both internal and external hemorrhoids can cause discomfort and pain because the veins in this area get dilated. If left untreated for long, it can cause bleeding and pain. Teenagers usually suffer from hemorrhoids due to constipation, irregular bowel movement and straining. Lifting heavy objects frequently can also cause hemorrhoids in teenagers.

Hemorrhoid creams and gels are available in the market, but most hemorrhoid sufferers find the use of essential oils as most effective. A sitz bath containing essential oils provides great relief of hemorrhoid symptoms. Essential oils reduce the swelling in the affected area. Since the properties of the oil are absorbed by your skin, the healing is faster and more effective.

Combining lavender and juniper oil is a proven natural way of healing hemorrhoids. They can be used individually, but they are far more effective when combined in a mixture. In a tub with warm water, add 22 drops of lavender oil and 22 drops of juniper oil. Mix the oil in the warm water. Take note that the water should not be too hot because you will soak in it. The warm water will help release the properties and aroma of the essential oils. Soak in the warm water with essential oils for 15 to 20 minutes. After soaking, rinse with cold water for proper regulation of your circulation.

This method does not only relax your entire body; it also reduces the itchiness, discomfort and pain due to hemorrhoids in teenagers. It also keeps the anal area clean. Remember to wipe your anus dry after every bath to keep the area clean and avoid further irritation. You can do this once in the morning and once in the evening before going to bed.

You can also use these essential oils as a topical treatment after your sitz bath. Combine two drops of lavender oil with a drop geranium essential oil mixed in an ounce of almond oil or any essential oil of your choice. Mix thoroughly until the oils combine. Apply the mixture in the problem areas after your warm sitz bath to further its effects.

If your hemorrhoids are starting to be painful and sometimes bleed, you may use this following mixture:

3 drops chamomile oil
3 drops carrot seed oil
3 drops lavender oil
A cup of cold water
A tincture of Calendula or St. Johns Wort

After thoroughly mixing the solution, soak a clean cloth or cotton balls in it and wring it to remove the excess oil. Apply it in the infected area as often as possible. The tinctures and essential oils can be bought at pharmacies and health stores.

You can also purchase these essential oils online available in 1/6oz ($11.54), 1/2oz ($25.36), 1oz (51.64) and 4oz ($180.00).
